Our world is rapidly changing and so must we to keep up with it. One thing that I have seen take deep roots in our global society is education. As education has become a necessity to make it in this world of today, so have the methods of delivering it to the people. Now the newest spread in educating the willing is through online tutoring.

The reason why online tutoring is such a Goliath is because thanks to the internet, it knows no borders. If you want to learn French from a tutor who is online in France there is nothing stopping you from doing it. Online tutoring is as worldwide as the worldwide web goes and does not discriminate on age, race or gender. It is blind to stereotypes that we are encumbered with.

Can you imagine how cool it is to just wake up, switch on your computer and you are in class? Well, that is how online tutoring works. You do not have to brave that harsh morning weather or deal with naughty guys putting thumb tacks on your seat. It is perfect for those who feel they are too old to be in class with the younger students but yet need the courses.

If you consider that it is one professor reaching a million people at the same time, online tutoring is a huge cost saver for the education industry. There is no necessity to hire hundreds of teachers to reach the same number of students that one can through online tutoring. This can however be a problem to the teaching industry though. They will have to be halved or more in number making thousands lose jobs in an already down turned economy.

An advantage that goes to the person getting the online tutoring is also in the costs that are avoided attending a physical classroom. You do not have to budget for that transport to class every day. You also do not need to buy paper printed books which cost much more than electronic media. An online tutor will not charge you what a school will charge you for the same information that he will give you.

One thing you have to love about online tutoring is that you get to keep whole lectures. For example you may have a video of your first lecture stored in your hard drive for you to review on the day before an exam. This is not like going to a class where you will forget the teacher’s words by the time the exam is around the corner.

With some online tutoring but not all however, you cannot interact with the teacher. One very important thing in the learning process is that two way interaction. When you cannot ask the tutor to expound on something that they just said this puts you at a learning disadvantage. The online tutors are best if they can be asked for their feedback on things during the learning process.

When searching for online tutoring for yourself there is one thing you will come to notice. Most of the online tutors are there to help you get along with a physical school that you are already enrolled in. They are just tutoring as a part time job and thus cannot give you a diploma. To them online tutoring is just earning extra money.
