Never Go Into Debt Unless You Have To
May 31st
People are looking for any way they can now to pay bills and get out of debt. With job losses mounting everyday, the economy shows no sign so far in 2010 of turning around. This means there will be more difficult times ahead for all those who are in debt or close to going into the red.
The obvious solution to avoiding that predicament is to avoid assuming any debt unless it is absolutely the only alternative. By stashing away a small amount of money each pay period, you will be prepared for financial emergencies. Of course, this is very tough to do, and there is a short term gratification to running up a charge account in order to purchase something right now.
The financial industry has caused some of this mess by creating the temptation of easy money through immediate lending approval. Three decades ago, young college graduates were hard pressed to obtain credit approval, and it didn’t matter whether they had secured gainful employment or not. In today’s economic climate, perspective graduates are able to obtain credit approvals by virtue of numerous solicitations from lending institutions.
When you get into debt, it’s difficult to crawl back out of it. You will get charged an absurd amount of money for the interest on debt, and when you think of the interest rates offered by banks, the amount seems even more absurd. A lot of people just pay what they have to on the loan, and that is okay with the companies because they will be able to get a lot of money from you because of the interest.
Because of the massive amount of people in debt now, there are companies that will help you consolidate all of your debt so it is easier to pay off. The consolidation companies will get some of the money from your debt and compile all of the debt into one loan that you can pay more easily. Whether or not this could be helpful to you is something you have to see about yourself.
Tackling debt is something people should do right away to give themselves the best future possible. Going through life constantly being in debt is something that is very risky and can decrease the fun of every new day. Once you are debt free and owe no one anything, you will understand what a burden has been lifted from your shoulders and how much happiness there is in life.

Saving Money is a Valuable Skill For Anyone
May 12th
Our economy is struggling, the unemployment sit stubbornly at ten percent or higher, and people across the country are struggling with their debts. Credit card payments, car payments, other personal loans, mortgages and second mortgages are all creating an increasing level of pressure on people. For many people, the situation is already very difficult, and there is no sign of relief coming.
Those folks who started out in debt before this financial crisis now find themselves further behind while many people have had to go into debt for the first time. When a family breadwinner loses his or her job, it is hard to make ends meet unless you have significant savings. Too many people don’t have any savings to speak of and are forced to find other ways of surviving which means going into debt.
The key is to find ways to save money, unfortunately, this is something the most Americans have little or no experience with. There is a mentality right now that we deserve to get everything we want, and our ability to actually pay for them is not relevant. This belief created an era of spending everything we earned, and buying what we couldn’t pay cash for with some form of credit, never creating a safety net.
Learning to save is a skill that should be taught from a very young age. If you teach a child to not buy something unless they have the cash to pay for it, the child will often take that mentality with them into adulthood. However, with credit cards so easily available now to most anyone, the temptation to run up debt is easily succumbed to.
Those plastic credit cards are so simple to use, and even easier to lose track of how much is being put on is, until the debts are high and we are struggling to make the monthly payments. Credit cards make it incredibly easy to purchase things that we don’t have the cash for. But as jobs are eliminated and companies institute pay reductions, more and more people are finding that they only way they can address their crushing debt is through bankruptcy. It would be so much better to learn how to save and delay purchases until we can afford them, rather than having to face crushing debt and the challenges of filing bankruptcy.

Everyone Is Going To Try To Get Some Stimulus Money
Feb 19th
There are many reasons whey people voted for Barack Obama. Some voted for him only because he is a Democrat and they would never vote for a Republican. A lot of people thought he provided hope and that is what got their vote. Others voted for him because he is black while some thought he is good looking. Finally, some voted for Obama just because they disliked Sarah Palin or John McCain.
Interestingly, there are even people who voted for him because they thought he was going to give them money. People who are looking for ways to pay their education bills or to start a business might look into whether there are any new Obama government grants. The stimulus bill just passed and the Democrats are in charge who always like to give out lots of money. Over the next year it seems money is going to get thrown at a lot of places and those that can figure out where to go to get it may profit.
It is not easy to get a government grant but if you are lucky and get one, the good news it that never needs to be repaid. Everyone is having a tough time in this economy and those that take the initiative to look into these things may be glad they did. Many people do not even know there is such a thing as a grant from the government so it is to your advantage to try. Most likely though, there may not be more grants from Obama than there have been in years past as he will probably choose to give money away in a different fashion.
The stimulus bill just went through and so it looks like there will be lot of money given away by the government very shortly. There will be over 3 million jobs created and probably some Obama tax breaks to the poor thrown in too. The liberals love to give away taxpayers money and so you know there will be people trying to figure out how to game the system and get whater they can.
If you want to get something from this bill by getting a job or money, you will need to research your options to find out where you should go. You might go to your local government offices to see what they have in terms of jobs and such that are a result of the stimulus bill. Those who take the initiative will be the ones who ultimately profit from the passage of this legislation.
